Several computational tools predict a significant impact on normal splicing: Four predict the variant abolishes a canonical 3' splicing acceptor site. However, these predictions have yet to be confirmed by functional studies. The variant allele was found at a frequency of 1.2e-05 in 251452 control chromosomes (gnomAD). To our knowledge, no occurrence of c.2369-2A>G in individuals affected with Familial Hypokalemia-Hypomagnesemia and no experimental evidence demonstrating its impact on protein function have been reported.
