This sequence change affects a donor splice site in intron 7 of the ALMS1 gene. It is expected to disrupt RNA splicing and likely results in an absent or disrupted protein product. Experimental studies and prediction algorithms are not available or were not evaluated, and the effect of this variant on mRNA splicing is currently unknown.
