This sequence change replaces aspartic acid, which is acidic and polar, with asparagine, which is neutral and polar, at codon 118 of the FLNC protein (p.Asp118Asn). This variant also falls at the last nucleotide of exon 1, which is part of the consensus splice site for this exon. |
