This variant has not been reported in the literature in individuals with IGHMBP2-related conditions. This variant is present in population databases (rs763867470, ExAC no frequency). This sequence change replaces lysine with arginine at codon 298 of the IGHMBP2 protein (p.Lys298Arg). The lysine residue is weakly conserved and there is a small physicochemical difference between lysine and arginine.
