Ambry Genetics | RCV003383736 | SCV004089108 | uncertain significance | Inborn genetic diseases | 2023-09-13 | criteria provided, single submitter | clinical testing | The c.27G>C (p.Q9H) alteration is located in coding exon 1 of the SLX4 gene. This alteration results from a G to C substitution at nucleotide position 27, causing the glutamine (Q) at amino acid position 9 to be replaced by a histidine (H). This variant was not reported in population-based cohorts in the Genome Aggregation Database (gnomAD). This amino acid position is not well conserved in available vertebrate species. This alteration is predicted to be tolerated by in silico analysis. Based on insufficient or conflicting evidence, the clinical significance of this alteration remains unclear. |
